OUC - The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the Marketing & New Products.

We are looking for a Marketing Intern - Summer 2025. During the internship, you will support internal and external marketing campaigns and design team projects to support the Residential and Commercial programs and solutions. Additionally, you will assist with ensuring marketing and communications efforts are obtaining the desired results and on schedule while adhering to OUC's corporate standards through project management, creative development, qualitative research, data analysis, and quality control.

  • Additionally, you will:
  • Assist with the execution of various marketing initiatives, including, but not limited to advertising campaigns, loyalty programs, and events
  • Assist with photo shoots and audio/video production projects
  • Contribute to the content for OUC's internal and external digital channels
  • Assist with sports marketing partnerships and ensure event activations are in alignment with to OUC's business objectives

Internship Eligibility:

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in a degree seeking program.
    Academic status of Junior, Senior, or Master
  • Program of study: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or related majors.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule between May 19, 2025 through August 15, 2025

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages
  • Develop creative solutions to challenging problems, generate fresh ideas and exhibit a high level of initiative
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite including Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Understands the basics of marketing, including social media, email marketing, content marketing
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, share ideas, and work toward common goals is essential
  • Initiative and Proactiveness: Taking the initiative to contribute ideas, propose solutions, and seek opportunities to add value to projects demonstrates a proactive attitude
  • Demonstrate strong project management, planning and organizing skills with an attention to detail

Nice to Haves:

  • Market Research Skills: The ability to conduct effective market research to understand the industry, competitors, and target audience is essential for developing informed marketing strategies
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data and draw meaningful insights is valuable for making data-driven marketing decisions. Including ability to creating charts, diagrams, informational graphics/reports. Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel will be beneficial
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective written and verbal communication is essential for conveying ideas, creating compelling content, and collaborating with team members.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) can be beneficial

The Digital and Marketing team at OUC is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing both internal and external marketing strategies, campaigns, and projects that align with organizational goals. This includes overseeing integrated marketing initiatives, brand development, and media strategies (both digital and traditional) to drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. The team works collaboratively with various business units to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with operational objectives. Key tasks involve project management, creative direction, and ensuring adherence to corporate standards, while also utilizing marketing automation and lead-generation strategies to optimize media investments.

Additionally, this team plays a vital role in managing the marketing technology channels, analyzing campaign performance, and reporting on key metrics like ROI and engagement. They develop strategies for launching new products, drive conservation program adoption, and support non-traditional product sales. The team also oversees sports partnerships, such as Orlando Magic, Orlando City Soccer and UCF, to ensure alignment with organization and brand objectives.

Compensation: $13.75-$17.50 per hour, varies depending the education level

Schedule: Full-Time (up to 40 hours per week) - Hybrid
