Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW

Provide Quality systems support to manufacturing operations to ensure high quality products are shipped from Oshkosh North. This position provides support to the manufacturing processes by providing Oshkosh North customers with a quality product within specifications.

SCHEDULE

2-2-3 Nights- 12-hour shift schedule

COMPENSATION

$22.02 + $1.20 night shift differential and 1.5x pay on Sundays

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Act as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities
  • Support and actively participate in department process improvement and safety initiatives
  • Promotes safety culture by positively communicating safety concerns/risks to co-workers, Leads, Supervisors, Managers, visitors, and all others in the facility
  • Immediately notifies Co-workers, Leads, and Supervisors/Management of Quality concerns/issues
  • Maintain a respectful and collaborative work environment
  • Perform and document film and bag quality testing as detailed in the Technical Specifications, Inspection Methods and work instructions
  • Perform data collection and computer data entry
  • Develop and participate in Quality department projects
  • Assist the lead Operators in training operators to properly perform quality checks
  • Perform instrument verification, calibration, cleaning and maintenance. Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and repair
  • Label material (on quality hold) with the assigned disposition
  • Perform retests on suspect material by cutting samples/performing lab testing
  • Comply with all department procedures, policies, and safety items
  • Remove material from quality hold per procedure
  • Place material on quality hold when requested by supervisor or management
  • Ability to learn and take ownership of the AIMs Quality Dashboard
  • Ability to learn and take ownership of SAP transactions within the given SAP business role
  • Ability to clearly define quality defects and provide summery of possible root causes
  • Maintain the files of quality test data and other quality related paperwork
  • Assist the Technical group with quality checks as needed
  • Assist with return verifications as needed
  • All other activities or special projects as necessary
  • Properly complete necessary paperwork
  • Maintain company requirements for product safety and cleanliness
  • Additional duties as assigned

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • An understanding of document control procedures and Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) guidelines.

  • The ability to multitask and work against competing deadlines
  • Have the drive to learn and further develop skills within the department
  • 2-3 years experience in manufacturing blown film, flexo-printing, and/or adhesive lamination for the Flexible Packaging Industry
