Job Title: Senior Systems Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Independently research issues and efficiently use available tools to address problems.
  • Reproduce the bug reported by end user
  • Use internal tools to capture additional information such as exception messages
  • Tackle the issue with the additional information
  • Outline the findings in the ticket in a structured manner
  • Review knowledge articles, old tasks with similar errors, review workplace posts to seek potential solutions
  • Resolve if a solution is found
  • Call out the issue to the relevant on-call contact
  • Should be able to manually correlate bug reports and merge similar bugs into one parent ticket
  • Should have prior experience or understanding of running SQL queries and analyzing SQL query output
  • Based on SQL query outputs, able to isolate the issue, then determine the priority of the issue and decide on next steps
  • Understand access issues, compare two users to find out missing access and grant access
  • Must be familiar and comfortable with chats (written communication to be strong)
  • Provide general triage support for a wide variety of technical issues and bug reports
  • Act as the primary liaisons and first responders for bug reports
  • Explore new tools and independently investigate issues
  • Flexible to cover different shifts
  • Recording the fixing done

Qualifications 2+ yrs: Bug management, Analyzing log data/output, Documentation

Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $18.17 - $32.93 per hour, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
