STV's Transportation group in Georgia is seeking a Site Civil Engineering Director to join the team. This position's primary role is to process projects from notice to proceed to final project closeout including plan development, scheduling, cost estimating, specifications, and related administrative duties. Duties also include supervision and guidance as they relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Consults with the Principal Project Engineer to resolve project related issues. This role emphasizes involvement in project management, project planning, design, production, and delivery of roadway and bridge related projects, with the ability to develop both professionally and personally. This position also offers opportunities to mentor younger staff and be involved in business development activities, including client relations, preparation of proposals, presentations, and contracts. The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a solid technical foundation with an interest in growing our engineering practice in Tennessee. Experience with project oversight with both the design process and the coordination of a multidisciplinary team of design and quality professionals is required. Projects have varied degrees of complexity and a wide range of estimated construction costs including large scale site development projects.
