  • Position: Manager, Physician Assistant
  • Location: Skokie Hospital, Skokie, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week
  • Hours: Monday - Friday during business hours
  • Required Travel: Occasional travel to other sites for meetings, etc may be required.

A Brief Overview:
The Physician Assistants Manager position is responsible for directing the business and clinical operations of the NorthShore Physician Assistants. Primary areas of focus include Budget Management, Performance Reviews, Staffing Management and Leadership representation at hospital specific meetings. The Corporate PA manager will enforce the policies and procedures of Endeavor Health.

What you will do:

  • Knowledge and demonstration of Endeavor Health customer service standards.
  • Knowledge of the federal, state and local laws that apply to job's area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Endeavor Health policies and procedures that apply to job and area of responsibility.
  • Ongoing growth and development from participation in events such as workshops, in-service programs and departmental meetings.
  • Provides care based on physical, psychological, educational, and related criteria, appropriate to the age and type of the patients/customers served in their area. (For employees with regular clinical contact with patients).
  • Maintains clinical responsibilities to the PA's as needed.
  • Responsible for the personnel management and on-going development of Physician Assistants.
  • Oversees Physician Assistant Leads at each hospital in personnel and development of PA staff, meeting Human Resources requirements for process and established standards of performance.
  • Collaborates with the Physician Assistant Lead on a regular basis including monthly meetings.
  • Regularly monitors Physician Assistant practice standards to assure compliance with HIPPA and JCAHO requirements and recommendations.
  • Supports and coordinates facility moves and improvements.
  • Assures compliance with financial goals through development of practice budgets, routine monitoring of results and analysis of variances.
  • Monitors practice financial performance and reports key financial indicators on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for timely submission of billing charges and improved collections for PA services
  • Collaborates with the executive team, Physicians and Lead PA to support strategic, operational, and business planning.
  • Facilitates development of long range and short-term strategic plans.
  • Interacts with the hospital leadership to coordinate continuum of care and program and service development issues.

What you will need:

  • License:Current Physician Assistant License in the State of Illinois required. DEA & Illinois Controlled Substance License required.
  • Certification:CPR certification required
  • Education:Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ Years of clinical practice as a Physician Assistant
  • 2 Years of prior Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to work independently, and demonstrate initiative in identifying solutions to problems.
  • Ability to work effectively and productively as a member of a team of diverse individuals, including physicians, administrators, superiors and subordinates. Must consistently demonstrate professionalism, flexibility and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to develop and manage practice budgets, and ability to develop financial proformas to evaluate practice business decisions.
