POSITION OVERVIEW

The Boxer Position in its most basic form consists of creating, filling, labeling and sealing a tote.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and stage totes with liners as needed for filling by the Spray Dry boxer
• Cull out damaged or defective totes
• Communicate with boxer and supply personnel as needed
• Clean and mop work areas
• Provide break coverage for boxer as needed, including:

1. Assemble a tote, place on scale and tare out
2. Fill the totes with cheese, taking a sample
3. Complete tote tally sheet, label tote including SAP entries.

• Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader/Manager or line tech.
• Ensure food safety.
• Observes all Safety, Environmental Regulations, Accident Prevention Procedures and Food Safety Procedures.
• Familiar with Quality programs as outlined in QRMP such as GMP's, Traceability, HACCP, Allergens, CCP, hold process and verifying raw ingredients.
• Help train other employees when proficient
• Support Lean Initiatives

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

* High School Diploma or equivalent.

* Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Must be able to do basic math, communicate effectively, read and write proficiently.

* Must complete the following training requirements/evaluations (30-60-90-120 Reviews)

* Certified Training and other training courses as required.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

* Must be certified to operate a Hand truck.

* Operate a computer for printing labels and Computer Based Safety Training, Calculator, Telephone, Scale.

Other Physical Requirements

* Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Bump caps, ear plugs, steel toe shoes and sanitation PPE, smocks, safety glasses)
