Cox Enterprises is looking for a talented Senior Software Test Engineer to join our software quality assurance team.

In this role, the Senior Software Test Engineer will conduct testing activities in an Agile team/environment supporting Workday HCM application across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate has a strong functional background with an understanding of Workday HCM application.

What You'll Do:

Collaborate

  • Partner with analysts, customers, and developers to gain an understanding of functional requirements and business processes.
  • Proactively influence design reviews by sharing subject matter expertise and highlighting risks.
  • Identify and prioritize high value test cases.
  • Partner with Quality Engineering team on manual and automation testing strategy/standards and the build-out of automation test scripts.


Execute

  • Drive results while completing quality assurance testing on an agile team.
  • Participate in the development and execution of test strategies, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Execute test cases that may include unit, functional, system, stress/load, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
  • Provide accurate metrics and status on testing progress.
  • Certify readiness for User Acceptance Testing.
  • Facilitate functional, regression and UAT testing with business users for all new features in Workday HCM application


Improve and Grow

  • Support continuous improvement of our QA process by receiving feedback and implementing changes.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of testing principles, methodologies, and techniques to test and ensure software / platform quality.
  • Exhibit a growth mindset while learning innovative technologies and techniques.
  • Formalize test procedures.
  • Create efficiencies with both manual and automated testing capabilities.


Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2+ years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 16 years' experience in a related field
  • Hands-on experience performing manual testing within Workday HCM (Functional experience in testing Absence, Payroll and Time Tracking strongly preferred)
  • Hands-on experience in writing test plans and test cases
  • Experience in API and Integration testing


Preferred :

  • Experience in automation script development, preferable to have experience in using TOSCA for test automation
  • Workday Mobile application testing
  • Support the testing workstream on multiple projects
  • Experience in using Enterprise Interface Builders (EIB)
  • Test management tools (e.g. Tricentis, qTest, Zephyr, HP ALM, Jira)
  • History of working with off-shore QA teams
  • Participate in the agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.


USD 90,100.00 - 150,100.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $90,100.00 - $150,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
