Overview:
Provides support for all ERP system products within the HKS environment. Performs advanced networking maintenance and hygiene activities. Responsible for producing & maintaining technical documentation of the overall infrastructure ecosystem through daily discourse of duties. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of relevant practices and procedures to complete assignments with integrity and creativity in collaboration with team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the creation and changes to system databases and tests and implements the database applying knowledge of database management systems
- Plans, coordinates and implements security measures to safeguard computer databases as well as supports various corporate department business systems
- Creates and organizes systems to store and secure data; designs and builds new databases
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translates them into technical solutions
- Collaborates with data architects, engineers and analysts to design, develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes
- Leverages best practices and monitoring tools to identify and address bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Optimizes and tunes data pipelines and process workflows for performance, scalability and reliability
- Conducts data profiling, cleansing and validation activities to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data life cycle, adhering to data governance and compliance requirements
- Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs system software
- Implements processes/procedures necessary to maintain the databases and related systems used within the ERP system
- Administers installation, configuration, patching/updating, performance tuning and backups of ERP databases and application servers
- Implements standards and procedures for database administration tasks and security policies
- Performs database and application monitoring to ensure databases run at peak performance; troubleshoots performance issues
- Assists with SQL programming using SQL and stored procedure languages such as PL/SQL
- Creates, loads and manages databases and database objects needed by the implementation, development, testing and training teams
- Performs upgrading/patching of database and related systems
- Responds to, troubleshoots and repairs issues with databases and associated applications
- Implements the processes necessary to refresh or otherwise maintain sets of data for testing and development purposes and automates processes when possible
- Supports data loading, migration, conversion and scheduled job operations
- Manages and maintains system documentation
- Provides afterhours support as needed for high severity, overseas situations and off hours maintenance; monitors incoming user tickets which may require after hours resolution
- Works closely with ERP vendor (Deltek) to troubleshoot system issues, which may include running scripts, sending copy of database for review and other trobleshooting efforts
- Develops System user access level manual and oversees Deltek security and access, including creating and maintaining user accounts and security roles. Monitors license usage.
- Supports Sage Software (Asset Mangement), including monthly backups, adding users, yearly software updates and managing integrations with other programs
- Supports Elevia Software, including software updates and managing integrations with other programs
- Participates in daily stand-up and Sprint planning meetings working within the AGILE
- Processes database backup and restore
- Performs other duties assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Typically with 5+ years supporting an ERP Application Stack, both On Premise and Cloud. Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint experience preferred
- Proficient in respective ERP system (e.g. Vision, Vantagepoint) preferred
- Experience in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
- Experience in EleVia software preferred
- Experience with ASP.NET, C#, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Microsoft SQL Server database platform
- Experience in providing technical support, covering database administration and operations to include monitoring maintenance capacity, performance monitoring/planning and incident/problem troubleshooting and resolution
- Understanding of finance/accounting processes
- Understanding of file structure system
- Understanding of Project Accounting processes and workflows in a professional services environment
- Strong skills in both logical and physical database design, building SQL and Stored Procedures
- Strong customer service, interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to produce high quality, accurate results
- Ability to comprehend and assist the global finance organization in building requirements for its financial systems enhancements
- Ability to hold sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
