Primary Responsibilities:



  • The Point of Care (POC) Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing point of care testing (POCT) across a wide geographic area, covering multiple clinics and laboratory locations
  • This position manages the coordination and performance of waived and moderately complex testing, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with all regulatory standards
  • The POC Supervisor provides technical leadership and guidance to a team of coordinators and holds responsibility for all testing personnel, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Solid leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as a thorough understanding of laboratory regulations and procedures

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or medical technology from an accredited institution, or an international degree with US equivalency
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT, AAB)
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Oversight of point-of-care testing (POCT)



The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
