Description & Requirements About the role: You are a passionate System Architect professional, who is enthusiastic about automotive electronics and wants to define the future in-cabin user experience. As Principal E/E System Architect, you are an expert for the full vehicle E/E system and you have a good high-level understanding of all domains. In our E/E Architecture Lab, you will drive the analysis of E/E architecture trends and technologies across global markets, key customers, and suppliers. With your peer architects, you will design future vehicle E/E architecture and product conepts. For our architecture, you will also cover the domain Connectivity and Security in collaboration with our product lines and system integration teams on combining our automotive product portfolio into a seamless user experience deployed in the HARMAN AutoOne product engineering car fleet. What you will do: * Full vehicle E/E architecture SME analyzing future architecture trends and developing technology roadmaps and product concepts * System architect for Connectivity and Security * Collaborate with product line SMEs, customers, and suppliers and analyze, identify, and establish industry benchmark E/E architecture design principles and best practices * Develop innovative E/E - and Connectivity and Security architecture for the HARMAN Auto One reference car in close collaboration with the product line architects and the E/E Architecture Lab domain architects * Support technology partner and M&A analysis What you need: * Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable experience * Strong background (8 years) in automotive system architecture and in Connectivity and Security * Core expertise in all E/E architecture domains and it's cross interactions including vehicle level system partitioning, vehicle function allocations, and system integration. * Technical leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire people * Good understanding of Functional Safety (ISO26262) * Experience in model-based architecture, SysML, and respective tooling * Excellent understanding of automotive E2E connectivity, including e.g. V2X, BT, WLAN, GNSS, cellular mobile networks (5G, ...)* * Excellent understanding of wired in-vehicle networks * Excellent understanding of Cybersecurity ISO21434 and global cybersecurity regulations e.g. UNECE WP.29 * Good understanding of network security e.g. firewalls, link layer security, VLANs, and knowledge of cryptography concepts What is nice to have: * Experience in project execution, product innovation, and a good understanding of product management * Experience in Hands-on in vehicle-level System Integration What Makes You Eligible: * Willingness to travel up to 20% domestic and international travel * Be willing to work from an office in Novi (hybrid) What We Offer: * Flexible work environment, allowing for full-time remote work globally for positions that can be performed outside a HARMAN or customer location * Access to employee discounts on world-class Harman and Samsung products (JBL, HARMAN Kardon, AKG, etc.)* * Extensive training opportunities through our own HARMAN University * Competitive wellness benefits * Tuition Reimbursement * Access to HARMAN Campus Fitness Center and Cafeteria * An inclusive and diverse work environment that fosters and encourages professional and personal development #LI-DPWHITE1 Pay Transparency $ 100,125 - $ 146,850 Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission. Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need.
