What you will do:

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team as an Installation and Service Technician. As a key part of the team, the Installation and Service Technician works in retail stores to install and repair Inventory Control, RFID, and Video equipment.

How you will do it:

  • Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on retail products and equipment at customer sites.
  • Keep track of your work orders via computer, including products serviced, work performed, hours and parts utilized.
  • Maintain and manage an accurate parts inventory at levels that insure a first-time fix.
  • Demonstrate and train customers how to use their equipment properly.
  • Keep your manager in the loop about your customer's satisfaction, any potential sales opportunities, or any recurring problems.
  • Take care of other tasks as required.

What we look for:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or technical military equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • 3 years prior work experience in related field.
  • Competed basic EAS and Video training and certifications.
  • Highly organized, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • General knowledge of electronics required.
  • Ability to obtain state license as required for all pertinent states. (State Dependent)
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Must be capable of working independently or as a team.
  • Working Knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skills.
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and Scope documents.
  • Certified in all Video & RFID solutions currently sold and serviced by Retail - preferred.
  • Network Certification - Full competency in all required networking, advanced performance.

  • Ability to mentor and train others
  • Ability to perform service on more complete integrated solutions.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30.48hr-$41.97hr (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
