Overview
The USU Salt Lake Center wants you to join their dynamic team of Classroom Facilitators. Classroom Facilitators contribute their talents to staff, faculty, and students to achieve the mission of the University. This is a non-benefited position with a daytime schedule that allows for a great work/life balance. Hours are Mon-Fri from 8:00 am-1:00 pm. Classroom Facilitators work with Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) and Zoom to ensure a beneficial learning environment. Candidates must have a basic knowledge of computers, but additional training will be provided. Responsibilities
  • Facilitate broadcasts of Interactive Video Conferencing (IVC) and Zoom courses.
  • Setup classroom, operate equipment, trouble-shoot technical problems, proctor tests, collect assignments, and distribute class materials.
  • Assist with setup and operation of meetings and events.
  • Cover the Information Desk and interact and communicate professionally with faculty, students, visitors, administrators, and supervisor.
  • Provide updates to supervisor on technology or classroom issues.
  • Maintain accurate class rolls.
  • Assist with cleaning of classrooms, student lounge and other areas.
  • Be willing to work a flexible schedule and help cover other facilitators' shifts as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Requires a basic knowledge of computers and willingness to learn simple technology skills
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with IVC equipment
  • Experience with Zoom
  • Flexible schedule

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Show integrity and responsibility
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Work independently and as a member of a team
