Job Description

We are looking for a Director, Pillar Management to join our growing team! In this role, you will accelerate value creation from existing initiatives via strategic problem-solving to remove roadblocks/set up enablers and define incremental initiatives to bridge value gap. You will support the execution of respective initiatives, track initiative progress and communicate to the Transformation Office. You will collaborate across other functions of Transformation Office (Rapid Response, Operational Excellence, Governance, Analytics Strategy & Governance) to execute a highly targeted approach to achieve financial and operational metrics that matter. In terms of the inter-play amongst distinct functions with Transformation Office:

  • Pillar team focuses on actions plans of varying business units to achieve metrics that matter, engages with the business to provide weekly visibility, and develops mitigation plans in close collaboration with business units and Transformation Office.
  • Rapid Response takes point on deep dives, Ops Excellence reviews / addresses a prioritized set of cross-functional processes, Governance creates visibility of metrics at executive / board level through various forums and Analytics provides Enterprise-level data governance.

You will also manage ensuring team (pillar leads) & stakeholder accountability against transformation charter, delivering end-to-end results on metrics that matter, and creating the right level of transparency to the key stakeholders to promote collaboration and effective adoption.

Qualifications

As the Director, Pillar Team, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboratewith initiative owners and pillar sponsor daily to aid execution
    • Decide what they need to advance their initiatives
    • Escalate key issues to the proper parties
    • Proactively work with initiative teams and any other stakeholder to improve process and conduct goals faster
  • Trackinitiative goals and progress
    • Complete initiative charters and keep them up to date
    • Keep master tracker updated for relevant initiatives
    • Find gap between budget and initiative quantification
  • SupportRapid Response & Operational Excellence team (when relevant) in troubleshooting and accelerating
    • Be a catalyst to Rapid Response and Operational Excellence team in quickly finding initiative challenges by providing context and data
    • Have point of view on potential challenges and fixes
    • Find Initiative Accelerants
      • Find gaps between existing transformation initiatives and budget / long-range plan targets
      • Diagnose major roadblocks to initiatives, find root causes and design plans to address
  • Program strategic review
    • Risk assessment of the overall value creation plan
    • Proactively find ways to continuously improve existing transformation program and to mitigate its risks
  • Executive communication
    • Prepare comprehensive reports in coordination with the rest of the Transformation team and presentations summarizing the status of transformation initiatives, including key milestones, achievements, and challenges
    • Present findings to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Required experience
    • 10+ years of experience in a top tier strategy consulting firm, or 10+ years of relevant Telecom experience
    • 10+ years of relevant experience and career progression
  • Track-record of academic rigor
    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field at a leading university
