Description
Core Responsibilities: * Lead cross functional project teams focused on new product introduction, continuous improvement, and nonconformance resolution. * Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design, and quality requirements. * Create engineering documentation including models, drawings, routings, testing specifications, reports, and work instructions. * Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and determine root causes and solutions. * Troubleshoot machines and processes. * Meet with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions. * Co-develop cost estimates for new process implementation and manufacturing quotes. * Participate in design, manufacturing, and test documentation reviews to ensure applicable contract, program, design, and quality requirements are met. Qualifications: * Minimum 5 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards. * Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD (Solid Works, NX, AutoCAD, or similar). * Project management experience with a proven track record of scheduling and organizing people effectively to complete assigned functions. * Ideal candidates also possess: *Machining, press/forming, welding, brazing, heat-treat and inspection experience. *Die, tool, fixture and gage design experience. *Minimum 3 years in aerospace industry *Experience optimizing high mix / low volume production. *Proven success with team leadership and continuous improvement *Lean and six sigma experience *Sheet metal experience Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
