Assembly Technician

Advantage Technical is seeking an experienced assembler for our client onsite in Sturbridge, MA.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join our production team. The primary focus of this position is assembling delicate sensor detector assemblies in alignment with customer specifications. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to production timelines, maintain high-quality standards, and uphold workplace safety practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble detectors following work orders, drawings, and bills of materials (BOM) using various hand tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Will assemble mechanical assemblies, delicate glass tubing, e/m assemblies and channels.
• Inspect and measure key assembly dimensions using optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, and go/no-go gauges.
• Conduct in-process inspections and ensure assembled components meet quality standards.
• Clean channels and parts using solvents and ultrasonic equipment, ensuring they are properly dried.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 months of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
