Central Power Systems & Services (CPS&S)

POSITION/TITLE: Branch Manager

DEPARTMENT: Management

REPORT TO: General Manager

SUPERVISES: Service Manager & Parts Manager (as required depending on branch volume)

WORK HOURS: Minimum of forty (40) hours per week, and additionally as needed to meet the goals of CPS&S.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall direction and profitability of their branch facility. This includes the Parts and Service Department programs and services provided by our company. This position reports to the General Manager of Off - Highway Operations of the company. The Branch Manager directs their facility to assure customer satisfaction via quality, schedule, and product performance, while achieving corporate sales targets and the promotion of overall business growth in their region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Plan, develop and implement strategy for the branch operations and development to meet agreed organizational performance plans within allocated budgets and timeframes. Including, but not limited to:

    • Oversee the Retail Operations in accordance to the guidelines of our Partners.
    • Grow service business in the shop and the field.
    • Increase generator and equipment sales and rentals for the Branch.
    • Understand financial statements and make necessary corrections based on results.


  • Attend, actively participate in and pass additional training courses/seminars as required by management (including, but not limited to, management, supervisory, sales and leadership skill building classes).
  • Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timeframes
  • Manage and develop direct reporting staff
  • Manage and control departmental expenditures within allocated budgets
  • Interface with other functional/departmental managers to understand all necessary aspects and needs of service/operational development.
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary operational development theory and methods and implement them within the branch facility.
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organizational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
  • Responsible for enforcing, reinforcing and implementing company policies, goals and objectives.
  • Develop and review data on activities, costs, operations, etc., and ensure that progress is made toward reaching stated goals and objectives.
  • May serve as member of management committees on special studies.
  • Responsible for the reporting of customer information to management regarding the product and dealer service experienced by customers.
  • Ensure that the appearance of the facility and field service trucks portray a professional image
  • Ensure that quarterly safety and building maintenance meetings are held and that safety is of utmost importance
  • Maintain regular contacts w/customers and look for new opportunities
  • Monitors activities to ensure compliance with all local, state and federal laws.


Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS



  • An undergraduate degree (preferably in business or in a related subject), or
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in management in the field of automotive/diesel mechanical repairs.

  • Working knowledge of shop layout and industrial engineering principles
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Able to ensure that Service Technicians consistently repair components and equipment in line with dealer, and manufacturers, flat rate time standards.
