Position Summary

The Director, Pharmacy Clinical Services is responsible for collaborating with Pharmacy and system leaders to develop system-wide strategies and priorities for pharmacy clinical programs. Leading operational aspects of pharmacy's clinical programs, coordination with other leaders and medical staff on service provision and outcomes, oversight of pharmacy-related educational activities with educational institutions, oversight of residency programs and ensuring staff competency are key elements of this position. Communications of key activities, outcomes, improvement are also responsibilities of this position. Work situations are varied requiring a strong pharmaceutical knowledge base, change management, problem solving, decision-making, data analysis, and leadership. Internal contacts include all leadership at all levels, medical staff, and staff. External contacts include physicians, competing organizations, vendors and professional organizations. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in related field; Master's preferred
  • Eligible for Washington State Pharmacist License
  • Successful completion of an Accredited ASHP residency
  • Board Certification through Board of Pharmacy Specialties
  • 8 years of relevant health system pharmacist experience
  • 5 years of experience in a manager or director capacity

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $194,334.00 - $262,933.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
