Job Summary 10 hour shifts Monday - Friday with 1 day off. Call shifts are required.Implements plan of care for specific patient population. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care in the peri-operative environment. Virginia Surgical Techs are required to be Licensed with the VBOM. NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted. Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - Other/National Required. Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - North Carolina Preferred. Qualifications: TS - Trade School Graduate: Surgical Technologist (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Certifications - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - North Carolina, Licensed Surgical Technologist - State license - Other/National, Ventricular Assist Device Certification (VAD-C) - Certification - ICCAC Surgical TechnologistSkills Active Listening, Communication, Critical Thinking, Service Orientation, SpeakingSentara Healthcare prides itself on the diversity and inclusiveness of its close to an almost 30,000-member workforce.
