The Business Deposit Officer is responsible for the development of new commercial deposit relationships and the growth and management of small business banking loans throughout the credit union network. This position will be reviewing and proposing market supported changes to the credit union's business deposit product line while driving business deposit growth. The Business Deposit Officer seeks new sales channels to grow business deposit balances and relationships while meeting member needs.

This position has a starting annual rate of $65,500, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferrable skills.

A Day in the life of a Business Deposit Officer can look like:

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge about all business loan types as well as an awareness of business lending trends regarding loan structure, pricing and competitive offerings and changes in the local market.
  • Attend and participate in loan closings, member business loan meetings, and commercial meetings.
  • Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined
  • New Business Calling Effort: Pro-actively identifies, develops and builds NEW profitable relationships with members consistent with the objectives of Treasury Services and the Credit Union to retain and deepen member relationships.
  • Represent the Credit Union by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate. Including trade shows, lunch and dinner association meetings as required for successful marketing of the Credit Union business deposit efforts.

What you bring to the table:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8 years' experience in sales or sales development in a financial company.
  • 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Ability to obtain Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
  • High level of business lending technical expertise including loan documentation and business law practices.
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills required.
  • Strong analytical skills, project management, and product management experience.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Proven successful goal setting and achievements.
  • Proficiency using Excel and Word.
  • Capable of working well independently and in teams.
  • Has the ability to work autonomously in making sound business decisions and exercises appropriate level of authority commensurate with experience and responsibility.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.

You might also have:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 1-3 years relationship management of Treasury Services Deposits based clients/portfolio in a financial services company
  • 1-3 years of Treasury Services / Treasury Deposits product sales and new business development in a financial services company
  • Minimum of four years product management and development experience, preferably within the financial industry.
