The Business Relationship Officer is responsible for the growth and management of a business banking loan and deposit portfolio consisting of existing members and prospects. This individual retains and strengthens current business relationships as well as develops new business through referrals.

This position has a starting annual rate of $92,100, but your offer amount may be increased with relevant work experience and transferrable skills.

A Day in the life of a Business Relationship Officer can look like:

  • Establish and maintain a network of primarily internal referral sources.
  • Prospect for new members for commercial and personal business.
  • Communicate with existing business members for ongoing credit review and maintenance of assigned portfolios.
  • Collect information to negotiate terms and conditions for new business as well as renewals of existing relationships.
  • Understand and manage credit risk to recommend appropriate loan structures and assigned portfolios.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge about all business loan types as well as an awareness of business lending trends regarding loan structure, pricing and competitive offerings and changes in the local market.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 5 years of commercial lending new business development or commercial credit.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
  • Reliable means of transportation.
  • High level of business lending technical expertise including loan documentation and business law practices.
