DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will contribute to advancing the DMVA's mission, vision, and values by overseeing the department's cultural change initiatives. Your responsibilities include chairing the Diversity, Equity, Belonging, and Inclusion (DEBI) committee and collaborating with the core team and subcommittees to drive progress on key objectives and develop a comprehensive strategy for cultural transformation across the department. You will also partner with the agency director of strategic operations and project management staff to create a change-management-informed strategy that encourages behavioral shifts within the department, focusing on empowering both staff and leadership. Additional duties involve providing strategic support for workforce planning at Fort Indiantown Gap and other field locations. This support includes analyzing current staffing levels, forecasting future workforce needs, and developing strategies to address staffing gaps; collaborating with leadership to ensure talent alignment with organizational goals; and monitoring workforce metrics to evaluate trends and demographics, adjusting to optimize efficiency and productivity. - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Annville.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 3 (Commonwealth title); or
- Six years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
Experience with Workforce Development and/or Succession Planning. Experience with promoting initiatives and a positive workplace culture. Experience running workshops/focus groups or creating collaborative working environments. Experience in writing policy.
