Overview Manager Strategic Analytics The UnityPoint Health (UPH) Analytics team is responsible for enabling clinical, operational, and financial outcomes improvement through consultative partnerships and the use of data and analytics. The team members are leaders in transforming UPH into a data-informed, continuous-improvement organization with highly reliable and sustainable results. The Manager of Analytics leads the Insight or Engineering development teams within our Analytics structure. The Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to development standards and processes, and actively participating in capacity planning discussions. This role is critical in cultivating an enriching team environment, facilitating team member growth, and supporting career development. The Manager of Analytics will coordinate analytics development professionals across financial, clinical, and operational bodies of work in partnership with Analytics Advisors, ensuring consistent and efficient development operations and streamlined communication. A key responsibility is to maximize the use of existing data assets, driving informed decision-making and enhancing overall department performance. This role demands a leader who can effectively create systems and processes to develop high quality analytics products in a shared pool of resources. Responsibilities * Lead the Insight or Engineering development teams, ensuring a cohesive, collaborative, and productive work environment. * Cultivate an enriching team culture by fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared goals. * Facilitate the professional growth and career development of team members through mentorship, training, and performance feedback. * Oversee the implementation and adherence to development standards, processes, and best practices within the team. * Facilitate team member cross training and distribution of institutional knowledge. * Participate in capacity planning discussions to ensure adequate resource allocation and workload balance. * Coordinate analytics development efforts across financial, clinical, and operational portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. * Maximize the use of existing data assets to drive informed decision-making and improve overall departmental performance. * Ensure consistent and efficient development operations through streamlined communication and collaboration with Analytics Advisors. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Management, Analytics or Healthcare Information Technology, Education or other similar field of expertise. Equivalent education and work experience will be accepted only if previous experience applies to specific role. Experience: 3+ years of experience in analytical role (analysis, information science, data visualization or other relevant quantitative field) 5+ years of professional experience in management of operations specifically in Healthcare or Analytics. |
