Company Description
Under the general direction of the Maintenance Shift Supervisor, the Master Electrician performs a variety of skilled electrical trade functions, supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment critical to plant operations. This role involves working with power generation, distribution, and control systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and minimal downtime. Job Description
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment for power generation, distribution, and utilization.
- Coordinate, assist, and perform construction, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systems.
- Solve, locate, and diagnose issues in electrical systems to minimize operational downtime.
- Plan, schedule, and assign daily tasks in coordination with the supervisor.
- Order and manage electrical parts and materials required for maintenance and installation projects.
- Use and maintain electrical hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and testing devices.
- Assist maintenance mechanics in the repair, dismantling, or reassembly of mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams, providing guidance to others when needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Follow company safety regulations, ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other related duties as required to support plant operations.
Qualifications
Ability to:
- Identify technical malfunctions in electrical units.
- Understand the handling and use of electrical repair tools and equipment.
- Effectively manage time and coordinate work functions with co-workers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work 3rd shift and some weekends.
