Admin Support - Ambulatory Float Team (Northwest Region)

Description

In this role, you will deliver administrative and patient care assistance across various ambulatory practices. Your responsibilities will include facilitating patient flow within the clinic, from registration to discharge, and collaborating with the Ambulatory Care clinic team to ensure efficient outpatient operations that enhance patient satisfaction.Additionally, you will provide support to different teams and practices to cover for staff absences due to illness, holidays, or leave.

This position requires a Team Assistant who is flexible, enthusiastic, and proactive. You will be expected to travel to all UCLACommunity practices throughout the Northwest Region, including but not limited to Santa Clarita, Porter Ranch, Thousand Oaks, Burbank, and Pasadena, will require you to be physically present at the job site.Workdays and hours may vary based on assignments, and you must be capable of responding rapidly to urgent situations in a dynamic environment.

Salary range: $25.60 - $25.60 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to demonstrate clear knowledge of job responsibilities; skillfully use equipment, software and tools required to do the job; and to work steadily to get job done
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments
  • Skill in efficiently and accurately facilitate the appointment making process, including transportation arrangements and maintain sub-specialty physician schedules
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate multiple appointments with staff from many clinical services at the UCLA Health System
  • Skill in using a PC with associated programs including Word, Excel, and E-mail, demonstrated work experience with a database computer program
  • Ability to be highly flexible, travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health community based practices and work a variable schedule

Highly desired:

  • Working knowledge to complete on-line transactions, including appointment scheduling, procedure scheduling, encounter registration system, hospital lab results and medical reports
  • Knowledge of major medical insurance plans and types of coverage provided
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
