Job Description

The Manager of Ambulatory Nursing Clinical Practice Program is responsible for the implementation, enhancement, and continuous improvement of clinical practice across the ambulatory care sites within the Health System. The Manager is accountable to the Physician leaders, clinic and regional administrators, and Jefferson Health senior leadership for executing a vision for clinical practice that aligns with the mission, goals, and strategy of Jefferson Health and achieves the continued success of the overall health system

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson
  • Accurately identifies real/potential problems affecting the service and implements solutions with follow through and communication
  • Program development and planning: In collaboration with senior leadership, explore, recommend, develop, and implement new opportunities to optimize clinical practice leading to exceptional patient care. In collaboration with local and regional leadership, optimize the role and contribution of ambulatory clinical staff. Supports clinical practice initiatives and helps prioritize resource allocation to ensure that service needs are met, while maintaining Jefferson's quality standards Identify and resolve issues, communicate information, and/or facilitate required actions.
  • Operations
    o Standardize services, processes, resources, and practices to improve efficiency maximizing continuity of patient care while maintaining professional standards within disciplines and across patient care centers.
    o Collaborate with ambulatory leaders for alignment and standardization of clinical practice
    o Align work based on ambulatory strategic initiatives
  • o Quality management
    o In collaboration with local and regional leadership, determine and align priorities for quality and safety metrics.
    o Identify and develop process and outcome metrics specific to the practice environments to ensure the highest quality of care and patient satisfaction.
    o Ensure the completion of focused/ongoing professional-practice evaluation with appropriate leadership
    o Ensures integration with the hospitals and the clinical departments' QA/Safety structures and processes.
    o Monitors compliance with regulatory, accrediting and hospital policy, environmental, patient, and personnel safety
  • Develops and mentors' staff while creating strong relationships and a positive culture for both staff and patients.
  • Schedule and conduct routine team meetings
  • Maintain awareness of team engagement; identify and respond to key challenges and areas of opportunity
