We're seeking a business and finance officer serving the expanding needs of the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR). Reporting to the Executive Director, this position is responsible for managing the business and financial functions for the reactor's general operating mission, grant, and contract support as well as auxiliary functions. This position provides oversight and coordination to advance the strategic initiatives and deliverables of the reactor. As a member of the Executive Director's leadership team, provide effective financial management for MURR. They will provide financial analysis to support new opportunities and develop and maintain financial reporting of existing service lines. This position will play a key role in financial modeling to support the Next Gen MURR vision. This position will also act as a strategic partner for MURR and the MU Division of Finance and Business Services. The business and finance officer will play an integral role in the planning, forecasting, and integration of critical performance initiatives into the multi-year planning model for the university. They will lead the development, management, and projection of MURR's operating and capital budgets, including overseeing the development of comprehensive budget and management reports. Continuous improvement and a transformative mindset will be key to furthering the university's complex and cross-functional business objectives. The individual represents Business Operations, takes part in discussion and project work, and works to implement designated actions and activities. Candidates must have exceptional communication skills, be flexible, and quickly adapt to rapid change and multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism. The business and finance officer is responsible for the day to day transactional accounting and fiscal activities of MURR. They will lead the fiscal group to ensure accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with University Policy, and Governmental Accounting Standards. Responsibilities include:
Additional duties and responsibilities may be expected to support the mission and priorities of Business Operations and the University of Missouri. Shift
Monday - Friday 8AM to 5PM, with some work outside of regular schedule when it is required for business. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 7 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $95,000 - $150,000 per year Community Information
