Department of Veterinary Medicine & Surgery Job Description

Simply put, our mission is to Teach, Heal, Discover and Serve. Veterinarians throughout the Midwest refer animal clients to the Veterinary Health Center (VHC) for specialized diagnoses and treatment. With sophisticated therapeutic equipment that includes an underwater treadmill, advanced imaging techniques, and groundbreaking equine lameness diagnostic equipment, we are a center for animal healthcare. We are seeking candidates for an open Full Time Central Supply Clerk to join the team of the VHC. The critical support role is responsible for ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing items from the central supply stores. Additionally, this position assisting with the collection and distribution of mail throughout the Veterinary Health Center. This position is responsible for operating a forklift and maintaining a clean, sage, courteous work environment. Typical job duties include:
This position primarily works in warehouse setting, but also throughout the facility and external building/s; bends, lifts, sits, stands, squats and moves frequently throughout the shift; deal with frequent interruptions and contact with staff, faculty, visitors and residents. Participates in required continuing education programs; subject to odors, falls and required to clean work areas. Shift
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. Works regularly scheduled shifts Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Minimum Qualifications
