What You'll Do in This Position

Purpose of Position

Directs all activities for a functional area of Site Integration. Recommends site policy and often must engage site senior staff (Executive VPs, and VPs) as well as DOE Senior Staff (Assistant Managers & Direct Reports) with respect to specific business issues. Frequently called upon to represent immediate manager and assist with immediate manager's duties and responsibilities.

Major Responsibilities

1. Directs the activities of a functional area and has overall responsibility for the successful operation of that functional area.

2. Acts under direction of senior level manager. Decisions have a direct effect on the success or the failure of the functional area in meeting overall long term objectives.

3. Implements both short and long term business strategies that contribute to the success of the company.

4. Acts on behalf of immediate manager in their absence including all responsibilities and functions.

5. Establishes effective mentoring process for subordinates to insure succession of critical business skills.

6. Held directly responsible for effective use of direct staff and budget

7. Effectively executes scope within established policies and procedures and maintain compliance with all State and Federal laws and regulations.

8. Develop Service Level Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding and Agreement with other site entities as needed.

9. Foster effective collaboration and cooperation among SRS tenants (SRNS, SRMC, USFS, SREL, Centerra, US Army, etc.) to develop and implement programs and policies and to fully exploit available resources and reduce the costs without detriment to performance and standards/requirements.

Provide QA oversight of construction management activities.
Communicate project status to NNSA customers.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential

Qualifications We Desire

QA experience in the performance of construction projects.
B31.3 Owner's Inspection qualification and knowledgeable of the requirements, performance, and management.
Recognized expert in NQA-1 and SRS QA and engineering requirements.
Knowledgeable of budgets and contracts supporting QA missions and responsibilities.
