Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position |
The Administrative Support Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Center of Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (
CEE&I). This position requires a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple priorities, provide supervision, and deliver high-quality support for the Center's programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute logistics for a residential summer camp, including participant registration, scheduling, and on-site operations.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of program materials and communications.
Supervision of Student Workers, Fellows, and Interns:
- Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance to student workers, fellows, and interns, ensuring their tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.
- Coordinate schedules, assignments, and training for all student support roles.
Administrative and Calendar Management:
- Manage and coordinate the calendars of leadership and team members to optimize efficiency and ensure proper scheduling of meetings, events, and appointments.
- Provide support in preparing meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action plans.
Event Planning and Management:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and managing events, including workshops, networking sessions, and conferences.
- Coordinate event logistics such as venue bookings, catering, and technology setup.
Marketing and Communications:
- Create visually appealing flyers, posters, and promotional materials to market CEE&I programs and events.
- Oversee and manage the Center's social media channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content aligned with organizational objectives.
Financial and Administrative Support:
- Track and monitor expenses related to Center programs and initiatives.
- Reconcile purchase card transactions and prepare financial reports as needed.
- Assist in processing travel arrangements, including booking accommodations and reimbursements.
General Administrative Duties:
- Provide general administrative support to the team, including maintaining files, handling correspondence, and ensuring efficient office operations.
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to the Center's activities and programs.

Work Hours |
Mon - Fri, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This position is based at the Center of Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and may require occasional evening or weekend hours for events or programs. |
