Position Summary

The School of Professional Studies' Robert Preston Tisch Institute for Global Sport is seeking an Academic Advisor to advise students on academic programs, policies and procedures and provide career counseling. Interpret University and school policies and recommend exceptions to policy, when appropriate.



Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience in student advising or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience:
Experience advising students at the college or university level.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems. Ability to supervise staff. Knowledge of standard office software.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $82,500.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
