Manager, Marketing Finance

Job Summary

The Manager, Marketing Finance, serves as the primary liaison between Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Marketing, providing essential insights into the Marketing business through budgeting, ongoing reconciliation, and forecasting. This position oversees critical financial functions, including monthly financial reporting, AMC Stubs forecasting and profit and loss (P&L) management, ad hoc analysis, annual planning, contract management, and cash flow monitoring, ensuring alignment and transparency across departments.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, monitor expenses and accruals, and provide teams with updates on actual spending. Collaborate with Finance and Marketing to adjust budgets as needed.
  • Share monthly financial reporting with the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) and Finance while working closely with teams across the department.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly budget reconciliation and forecasting across all areas, including advertising spend, AMC Stubs, and other revenue sources.
  • Act as a key contributor and facilitator for the Cross-Functional Analytics team on behalf of Marketing.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate AMC Stubs P&L statements, tracking revenue and expenses.
  • Lead ad hoc finance requests and analyses to support marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee annual planning and budgeting processes across the marketing department to ensure alignment.
  • Manage contracts for the marketing department, ensuring compliance and proper paperwork execution in partnership with external stakeholders.

What we need from you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in finance, analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience in budgeting and budget creation.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, modeling, and analysis.
  • Understanding of marketing practices, programs, and executions.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong partnerships across departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in Excel.

  • Background in marketing operations.
  • Knowledge of accounting rules and regulations.
  • Practical knowledge of tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI), Essbase, or Peloton.
  • Basic familiarity with Tableau or SQL.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate within a team environment, motivating and guiding team members toward shared goals.
