Job Description

As the Manager of IT Infrastructure, you will oversee all infrastructure hardware and software, cloud resources, and vendors for the shared services IT organization. The role involves leading the Infrastructure team, ensuring that rules and processes are adhered to while delivering fast and effective service to the business. This role is part of the Lindt & Sprungli North America OneIT team responsible for supporting Lindt & Sprungli North America and our three manufacturing companies based in the United States: Lindt & Sprungli (USA) Inc, Ghirardelli Chocolate Company & Russell Stover Candies, LLC.

This position must work from our offices in San Leandro, California on a hybrid work schedule.

Essential Functions



  • Develop Strategies in collaboration with the Director, IT Infrastructure: Design and implement short and long-term strategic plans to ensure the Infrastructure team's capacity meets existing and future requirements. Use ongoing improvement methods to enhance how Infrastructure is managed and monitored, change infrastructure to a national/global model, and lower technical debt.
  • Implement Process and Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and associated training plans in support of the Infrastructure team's strategies. Ensure infrastructure IT processes align with the corporate strategies and goals.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure Key Performance Indicators (KPI): Participate in developing IT Infrastructure strategies with the IT Director and establish service level Objectives with business units. Use data from key performance indicators (KPI) to guide choices and plans. Ensure the IT Infrastructure team knows and works towards meeting KPI Targets and strategic goals. Regularly monitor and report on KPIs to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the Business: Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent Infrastructure activities. Collaborate with Group IT, and group-defined vendors for ongoing Infrastructure operations of group-provided products & services.
  • Continuously evolve the Infrastructure: Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all Infrastructure procurement and development efforts. Make recommendations on enhancing current technologies and incorporating recent technologies where appropriate.
  • Maintain high-value local Infrastructure vendor relationships: Conduct regular vendor collaboration meetings to ensure alignment on KPIs and corporate goals.
  • Assume incident management responsibility during severity one events.



Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field and/or a combination of related work experience.
  • 10+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure, including solution design and operational excellence.
  • Proven track record of leading an IT Infrastructure delivery team supporting multiple brands or companies.
  • Knowledge of current IT Infrastructure protocols and standards, including OSI and ITIL.
  • Ability to convey ideas clearly and communicate effectively with stakeholders and management.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving a culture of continuous improvement and Innovation.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound emergency decisions.
  • Experience leading the project management process for an IT group.
  • Ability to solve difficult problems in a complex setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of networking, servers, and storage.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with others and persuade beyond their direct authority, providing comprehensive solutions that can adapt to local and global needs with minimal exceptions or special cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to make sound and logical judgments.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound emergency decisions.

  • Highly motivated and self-directed, with an attention to detail



Preferred Qualifications



  • Knowledge of and experience with Cybersecurity awareness, security response.
  • Advanced application and server support knowledge, including Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure networking devices, such as network switches.
  • Proficient in developing needs evaluations, budget plans, and roadmaps.

Salary Range: $155,000-175,000/ year
