Job Description
ECU Department of Engineering and Technology is currently seeking a Student Marketing and Communications Assistant. This role will help our team to enhance our digital presence, increase engagement, and broaden our audience reach across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and our newsletter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing strategies to promote our projects, services, and events.
  • Create and post engaging content across social media platforms to increase user engagement, attract event participants, and proactively grow the audience.
  • Write, edit, and publish content for social media, newsletters, and other digital communications.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and event materials.
  • Actively support outreach efforts to attract attendees to events through digital channels and targeted campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team, actively contributing ideas to enhance and improve marketing campaigns and communication materials.
  • Track and analyze the performance of digital campaigns to help improve outreach and engagement.

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.)
Qualifications:

  • Motivated and creative student to support and expand our marketing communications efforts into the digital space.
  • Strong creative and written communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience using social media platforms and digital tools.
  • Ability to develop content for digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Detail-oriented, with an ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, actively contributing ideas and supporting team efforts.
  • Experience or interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, or environmental justice is a plus.
