DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Establishes and facilitates strategic partnerships with external software development studios and acts as the central point of contact on behalf of Nintendo with oversight from NOA and NCL management.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day business activity and leads and facilitates meetings and discussions with external development studio partners at the executive/management level. Promotes and communicates Nintendo and the platform, our suite of services, features, tools, terms and policies to potential second-party software development partners.
  • Proactively and independently identifies, investigates, establishes, and maintains strong relationships with a diverse network of external software development studios through outreach via existing connections, studio visits, online meetings, and attending industry events.
  • Reviews, analyzes, tracks, recommends, and pitches software development studio availability, game development, design, technical capabilities, studio culture, key personnel, and game proposals.
  • Creates presentation materials and leads pitch meetings catered and tailored for executive leadership. Presents studio profiles and game design proposals with deep insight, knowledge, analysis, and effective salesmanship.
  • Closely collaborates with NOA and NCL counterparts and follows strategic direction given by NOA and NCL management.
  • Work with leadership to understand and communicate industry and market trends, changing consumer demands and help key internal stakeholders assist in building future strategic direction.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:



  • Minimum eight years of video game industry experience or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of Nintendo games, hardware platforms and a passion for games in all forms.
  • Extensive knowledge in game proposal reviews and approvals.
  • Extensive knowledge of game development fundamentals, product strategy, and product development.
  • Broad network of working relationships across the video games industry and has demonstrated a strong history of relationship growth success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, comfortable engaging in communication with all levels of management both internal and external.
  • Ability to develop and present complex presentation materials that deliver a clear message.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and analytically about complex issues, and leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
  • Highly organized, with incredible attention to detail and ability to work independently yet collaboratively.
  • Ability to respect and honor highly confidential information.
  • Experience working with globally distributed work teams and familiarity and sensitivity related to Japanese business culture (preferred).
  • Practiced knowledge of game development technology and tools (preferred) .
  • Experience communicating business terms, strong negotiation skills (preferred).
  • Valid passport required for international travel.
  • Undergraduate college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is hybrid in Redmond, WA. Hybrid positions require regular onsite work following the schedule and guidelines for their division. This position is not open to fully remote status at this time.
This position includes a base salary range of $137,000 - $246,500 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
