Duties and Responsibilities
The Research Project Coordinator manages daily operations of a federally-funded research project that that examines dual language development in Spanish-speaking Latino children. The project involves the recruitment of Spanish-speaking Latino families with toddlers to participate in the research. The project also involves the collection of data at families' homes in the Chicagoland. This is an ideal position for someone who is interested in applying to graduate school or someone with interests in bilingual development and working with Spanish-speaking families. Managing the daily operations of the research project, including:
-Recruiting families to participate in the research.
-Traveling to families' homes in the Chicagoland area for data collection.
-Maintaining relationships with families and project staff.
-Training and supervising graduate and undergraduate research assistants.
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field and one-three years of related experience.

-Proficiency in Spanish
-Outstanding organization and communication skills
-Dependable, reliable and punctual
-Versatile
-Available to work evenings and weekends
-Must have a vehicle
Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
Minimum requirements are a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Linguistics or related fields, and at least one year of research experience.
Computer Skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with common statistical programs (e.g., SPSS).
