Position Summary:

Command Cyber Solutions (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Network Storage Administrator to support HILL COMPONENT ENTERPRISE DATA CENTER (CEDC) IT OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah (HAFB). This program aims to modernize legacy USAF network infrastructure and migrate services into a new AWS Cloud Environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise storage solutions, cloud technologies, backup systems, and virtualization platforms.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Design, implement, and manage storage infrastructure using Pure Storage and EMC Storage systems (EMC Unity, EMC VNX2, PowerMax)
* Oversee backup and recovery processes utilizing Cohesity Backup and NetBackup solutions
* Manage and optimize Fiber Channel networks for storage connectivity utilizing Brocade Director Switches
* Perform capacity planning and forecasting for storage resources
* Administer VMware vSphere environments, including vSAN implementations
* Design and implement hybrid cloud storage solutions, integrating on-premises infrastructure with AWS cloud services
* Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for storage provisioning and management
* Implement and manage storage solutions for big data and AI/ML workloads
* Troubleshoot complex storage, virtualization, and cloud integration issues
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal storage performance and availability
* Stay current with emerging storage technologies and industry best practices

Education & Experience Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
* Five (5)+ years of experience in enterprise storage administration

Preferred Certifications:

* Relevant industry certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, EMC Implementation Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect)

Security Clearance Requirements:

* Active Secret Clearance

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

* Hands-on experience with Pure Storage and EMC Storage platforms
* Proficiency in managing Cohesity Backup and NetBackup systems
* Strong knowledge of Fiber Channel technologies and SAN architectures
* Demonstrated expertise in capacity planning and performance optimization
* Advanced skills in VMware vSphere administration, including vSAN
* Experience with AWS storage services (S3, EBS, EFS) and AWS Storage Gateway
* Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
* Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred:

* Experience with CI/CD pipelines for storage provisioning and management
* Familiarity with data lakes and analytics platforms
* Knowledge of storage solutions for big data and AI/ML workloads
* Experience with data protection regulations and compliance requirements

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

* Basic office work environment at government facility location.
* Hours of operation are M-F between 0600-1800; work will be performed during core business hours.
* Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days.
* Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer.
