DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will support park personnel across a range of initiatives, allowing you to acquire practical experience in areas such as Park Operations, Resource Management, Administration, and Environmental Education. You will play a vital part in the daily functioning of the park, which encompasses tasks related to maintenance, visitor services, and the monitoring of natural resources. This position presents a distinctive opportunity to develop hands-on skills, collaborate with varied teams, and actively participate in the conservation and appreciation of our natural environment.

- Full-time internship that will run from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require evenings and weekends, not to exceed 37.5 hours a week.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements:
- Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors:
- Forestry
- Wildlife Sciences
- Parks and Resource Management
- An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.
- Freshman year completed
- Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
- Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:
- You must possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
