JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Reports to: Chancellor or Director of Continuing Education

Hours & Pay: 20 - 24 hours per week at $20.00 /hour - approximately 40 weeks per year

Invent Penn State is an initiative to leverage the resources of Penn State University with local groups so that entrepreneurs have access to programs and tools that can help to start and grow a business, find licensable technologies and investment opportunities, and get to the know the innovation community. Penn State campuses throughout Pennsylvania have developed entrepreneurial centers called LaunchBoxes. More information can be found at https://invent.psu.edu.

The Fayette LaunchBox was developed through a partnership of Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus and Fay Penn Economic Development Council. The Fayette LaunchBox is located in the Fay Penn Building in the University Business Park.

• Coordinate LaunchBox programming including but not limited to; Shark Tank competitions,Start -Up week activities, Summer Research Cohort, Summer Entrepreneurship camp for school-aged youth, coordinate workshops and seminars for local community and campus students, coordinate entrepreneurial events at LaunchBox for local entrepreneurs.
• Update the Fayette LaunchBox website, prepare required reports and budgets, attend Invent Penn State Round-table sessions and other meetings as appropriate.
• Act as a point of contact for LaunchBox inquiries and mange the day to day operations in coordination with the staff at Fay Penn.

• Associates degree or higher.
• Previous entrepreneur experience required.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
