Position Highlights:

  • Position: Administrative Assistant II, Violence Intervention Program (HVIP)

  • Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $33.21. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  • Location: Evanston, IL.

  • Full Time/Part Time: 40 hours/part-time

  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM- 5:00 PM

  • Travel: Highland Park Hospital and Swedish Hospital

What you will do:

The Administrative Assistant II will provide administrative and clerical support to staff in order to help them efficiently respond to the emotional, psychological, or physical needs of crime victims, assist victims to stabilize their lives after victimization, assist victims to understand and participate in the criminal justice system, and/or restore a measure of safety and security for the victim. In addition to providing administrative and clerical support to staff. The Administrative Assistant II will serve as the immediate point of contact for crime victims and assist in providing referrals for crime victims.

All program staff for the proposed hospital-based violence intervention program (HVIP), Endeavor to Heal, have responsibilities that involve the provision of direct services to victims of crime. Depending on the specific responsibilities of a given staff member, those direct services include efforts that respond to the emotional, psychological, or physical needs of crime victims, assist victims to stabilize their lives after victimization, assist victims to understand and participate in the criminal justice system, and/or restore a measure of safety and security for the victim.

What you will need:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred

  • Certification: N/A

  • Experience: 2-3 years of related administrative/clerical support

  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Computer skills including knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent organization, verbal and written communication, and transcription skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks and detailed work, problem solve, reason and perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to work independently, utilizing strong organization and prioritization skills with minimal supervision.
