Job Description

Role Overview:

Join our dynamic team as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in a Surgical Float role at MSK! You will have the unique opportunity to oversee patients across multiple specialties, including Colorectal/Gastric Mixed Tumor, Urology, and Hepatobiliary teams. As part of our team of over 900 NPs and PAs, you'll be part of a compassionate, expert-driven community committed to providing comprehensive cancer care. You will collaborate closely with attending physicians, fellows, and housestaff to manage post-operative care, addressing the medical needs of inpatient surgical patients. In addition, you will participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum. Key Qualifications:

    Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
  • Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • A Minimum of 2+ years of clinical RN with inpatient oncology experience preferred
  • Related National NP certification
  • BLS/ ACLS certification
OR
  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • A minimum of 0-1+ years of experience as an experienced PA in oncology is preferred
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • BLS/ACLS certification

Additional Information:

Hours:12.5 hour shifts, 6a-6:30p weekend and holiday rotation is required

Location: 1275 York Ave NY, NY

Reporting to: Manager, APP

Pay Range: 144K-182K
