POSITION SUMMARY:

In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to assigned patient populations to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Scope of practice will encompass: * Expert clinical practice * Expert guidance and coaching of patients and families and other healthcare providers * Research * Leadership (clinical, professional, and systems) PROGRAMMATIC RESPONSIBILITES: * Provides evidence based comprehensive care for women, including routine obstetric care and management of routine non-surgical care for gynecologic care for patients. Obstetric care includes antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care for pregnant patients. CNM assumes direct responsibility for implementing care plan. * Participates and/or leads quality assessment and performance improvement activities. * Acts as a liaison between the patient, family and physicians * Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to assure consistent and appropriate patient care for this patient population * Works collaboratively with the Medical Director/Chairman and or Collaborating Physician

EDUCATION:

* Board certified and credentialed as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of New Jersey with primary focus of education and training as a Certified Nurse Midwife. * Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered. * BCLS certification through the American Heart Association.

**Open to Part Time Schedule.

EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical practice experience in related field. Willing to train highly motivated individual

SPECIAL SKILLS:
* Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving. * Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred.
