Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36Gundersen Health System is in search of an Accountant to join our Finance team! If you are a detail-oriented individual in search of an opportunity to work with a great organization--this could be a great opportunity for you! What You'll Do: You will be responsible for day to day accounting functions and working with our department managers. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records in the general ledger, review/create financial reports, create/support financial budgets and be a resource for manager to help investigate questions and understanding of their reports. Be familiar with Excel and other financial resources, such as EPIC, StrataJazz, and Lawson. What's Available:

Job Description:To be a key member of the Accounting department; working with the Department Manager to maintain high quality accounting and financial reporting systems for multiple corporate entities; to maintain various transaction-based subsidiary ledgers, reviewing reports, investigating problem situations, preparing and correcting adjustments as required, and making recommendations for process and system improvements as warranted. This position will also represent the Accounting department in meetings as needed. Major Responsibilities:
Education and Learning: REQUIRED Associate degree in Accounting or Finance DESIRED Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Work Experience: REQUIRED 1 year experience in accounting DESIRED 3-4 years experience in accounting that includes 2+ years of healthcare accounting experience Age Specific Population Served: Nonage Specific (N/A) OSHA Category: Category III - No employees in this job title have a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials. Environmental Conditions: Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work).
