As Coordinator, Commercial Partnerships at Sony Music Entertainment you will play a fundamental role in supporting the NY-based US Commercial Partnerships team across key digital commercial DSPs like Apple, Pandora, PlayStation, Peloton and TouchTunes. This role will include general administrative support, compiling detailed information and assets and need to be proficient and comfortable working with multiple pitch grids and be very detail oriented. The role reports to the VP, Commercial Partnerships.


What you'll do:

  • Assist in obtaining and distributing artist and product assets for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Prepare and distribute release schedules for multiple labels by gathering relevant info for reach project and update changes
  • Direct support to DSP account team members who oversee releases responsibilities & relationships across Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Pandora, YouTube, SoundCloud, & more.
  • Research, make record of, and distribute as necessary significant features and placements of artist and product marketing initiatives
  • Set-up and participate on retail sales/marketing calls & meetings while taking notes to distribute to participants.
  • Monitor and communicate social media posting commitments across key artist campaigns.
  • Compiling key information across multiple departments to be used for partner updates & internal reporting
  • Engage with SME's US frontline and catalog labels to establish process and strategies to optimize opportunities and workflow
  • Participate in label and partner calls and develop presentations
  • Potential for direct admin work for Vice President, Commercial Partnerships.


Who you are:

  • You will have at least 1-3 year experience with working knowledge in digital music industry with prior experience in music and sales/distribution strongly preferred.
  • You will have a Bachelor's degree.
  • An extremely organized and detail oriented professional and be able to create and maintain various working project details and documents at one time
  • An exceptional communicator with extraordinary time management skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, self-starter who has strong problem solving, analytic, and interpersonal skills while being able to work independently.
  • You will have the ability to manage time and priorities set and achieve goals and juggle multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
  • Must be available outside core work hours to monitor new music releases, chart updates, and other important campaign tentpoles.
  • Fundamental knowledge of music business, subscription streaming platforms, digital/social marketing strategy and playlisting
  • Eagerness to learn about the behaviors and platforms that drive growth in music subscription/ consumption
  • Passionate individual that enjoys working in a creative and forwarding thinking media environment
