EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Must be a licensed social worker.
  • Hold a Master's in Social Work.
  • 1-3 year(s) experience in student services, student affairs or higher education required.
  • At least 5 years social worker experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years outreach, training, and/or education programming experience preferred.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Travel as needed for student crisis situations or training needs based on location.
  • Develop materials and resources to support student wellbeing.
  • Provide expertise on clinical needs and interventions for suicidal ideation and substance abuse.
  • Consult on student needs and collaborate on the development of student safety plans.
  • Design and lead training and/or educational sessions on relevant topics to support student wellbeing.
  • Coordinate events, workshops, trainings or programming for the entire Herzing University system including selecting speakers, and organizing webinars.
  • Leverage technology and telehealth services to reach and support the maximum number of students with a variety of needs.
  • Participate as member of Behavior Intervention Team.
  • Maintain and ensure HIPAA compliance is upheld within the student case management system.
  • Counsel individual students, providing short-term counseling support virtually and in person as needed.
  • Supervise MSW interns that support Herzing University students.
  • Provide assistance and collaborate with academic leadership to maximize the opportunity to place MSW students who will support programming, services, and outreach.
  • Manage and coordinate support and resources for regional challenges, tragedies, or community needs.
  • Collaborate with campus leaders and assist with building special programs for underrepresented students (such as Title III and Title V grant objectives.)



Hours will be traditional Monday-Friday business hours with occassional evening work needed to accomodate student events and programs.
