Position Summary:

Responsible for development, growth, and management of selected strategic national chain accounts, against planned objectives with a focus on building strategic partnerships with key operators.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage key accounts insidethe NRN/Technomic Top 100 to meetplanned volume & margin goals - which includes Ventura National Account Top Tiered Strategic Operators.
  • Create, develop, organize, manage, and facilitate customer business development teams, to include Culinary/R&D, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Logistics and Operations to meet goals and objectives. All witha focus on custom solutions that meets both operator and company objectives. Utilize Velocity Customer Management tool to log, track and communicate internally on customer prospects/closure within the Edge Selling Cycle
  • Develop and execute actionable business plans in conjunction with individual account profit and loss pro-formas. Maximize results inside RFP/Contract Management with Strategic Pricing team with an emphasis on multi-year operator agreements
  • Develop, expand, and promote key Top-to-Top level Operator relationships within specific assigned territories.
  • Identify, analyze and monitor new/emerging accounts (per product mix and potential) with a focus on the accounts of the future while carefully managing internal resources and expense against potential returns.
  • Responsible for management of information flow (i.e. pricing, etc.) with both operator and customer solutions group to maintain pricing and margin integritythat meets total company guidelines.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ year's experience of successful Top 100 Foodservice large account management, including managing food product customization required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% required.
  • Oil contracting experience preferred.
  • Edible oil market knowledge desired.
  • CRM (i.e. Salesforce) experience is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office tools and using them on a laptop.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and be able to work with deadline constraints.
  • Must have strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrates ability work autonomously in evaluating and solving complex business issues.
  • Must demonstrate capability/skills in development of business planning and customer management as required to perform duties specifically Section # 2-2.

*The "base salary range" provided above is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The range provided is for California-based employees as Ventura Foods is required by California State Law to post pay rates. Ventura Foods reserves the right to pay outside of the given range based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: candidate skills and experience, complexity of the job, budgetary factors, and location/geography.
