ENGINEERING POSITION:

This role is for an engineer with 5+ yrs experience, who is excited to make improvements to key processes in our Menomonie, WI Logistics site (located on Packer Drive NE). This role will be 100% on-site work.

Andersen Logistics focuses on the fulfilment of shipments of our customers. This role will work on finished good material flow, process improvements for efficiency, safety and ergonomics. This role will also support continuous improvement projects. The Menomonie warehouse is 650,000 sq. ft. with more than 300 employees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support daily activities within the distribution/logistics team to improve operations.
  • Develop and complete intermediate level work plans for small to large projects and assignments including expense /capital estimates and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Apply basic and advanced engineering analytical skills to resolve problems and to satisfy customer issues and requirements.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in cost, quality, delivery, and safety for the logistics warehouse.
  • Lead cost reductions and yield improvements with delivery partners.
  • Identify opportunities for error proofing processes and drive the implementation of solutions.
  • Partner with ongoing product development team to implement and/or improve product packaging and handling.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or similar field
  • 5+ years experience in engineering
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-started with ability to drive results

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Previous Warehouse Experience
  • AutoCAD & Inventor design experience
  • Electrical Engineering experience with PLCs, latter logic - Rockwell Automation Software Experience preferred

PROFIT SHARING:

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
