As a Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter I you will:



  • Provide insight to the ins and outs of drafting and designing in a professional environment for United States Submarines!

A week in the life of an Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter I:



  • Work on United States Nuclear Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic System (NPES) projects.
  • Conduct ship checks on Los Angeles Class, SEAWOLF Class, VIRGINIA Class and OHIO Class (SSBN/SSGN) submarines.
  • Conduct research of submarine construction drawings using the Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) System.
  • Develop 2D shipboard interconnect Cabling Diagrams in accordance with Military Specifications.
  • Develop Wiring Tables, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, Lists of Material (LOM).
  • Interpret Government Furnished Information (GFI) to meet design requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Egineering or Electronic Engineering Technology
  • Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
  • Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
  • Able to climb vertical ladders (20' - 25') within the submarine.


6 months to One (1) years business experience in:



  • Creating 2D drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drafting software application

    • Autodesk AutoCAD desired but not required


  • Adobe PDF tools

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
