Job Description

We are currently hiring a Quality Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Quality Manager is responsible for leading Brewery Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory programs and processes at our Brewery. This includes the development, maintenance, and improvement of the Food Safety and Program and Quality Systems, including pre-requisite programs, sanitation, GMPs, HACCP, allergen control, QC Programs, traceability, non-conformance management, auditing, recall, analytical and microbiology lab management, etc. The position holds a key role on the Brewery Leadership Team, and the individual in this role must be skilled at teamwork, cross-functional influence, and collaboration. The qualified candidate must be outgoing, flexible, energetic, results-oriented, and passionate about developing people and processes.

What You'll Brew:



  • Provide quality leadership and support for a 24/7 Brewing, Blending and Packaging Operation
  • Coach, mentor, teach and develop team members to be the next leaders
  • Ensure the brewery operates within compliance of all local, federal, and industry regulations including FDA, TTB and local regulations
  • Monitor Food Safety and Quality performance using metrics, KPIs and develop improvement strategies
  • Protect product safety, quality and integrity using data, statistics and a sound decision making
  • Analyzes performance data and charts against defined parameters; including reporting and improvement against KPI's. Includes ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated. Presents this data to key stakeholders, in order to drive alignment and action.
  • In partnership with other department heads, be responsible for implementing and auditing process control points to ensure abnormalities are identified and resolved.
  • Develop SOP's and guide training to improve efficiency and reduce risk of quality failures


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications



  • Undergraduate degree in Sciences, preferably Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or Brewing Science
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the brewing, beverage or food manufacturing industry
  • 10+ years Quality experience with 5+ in a managerial role.
  • Experience in a GFSI implementation and or maintenance
  • HACCP Certified, PCQI certified
  • Experience with statistical evaluation of production data, control charts etc.
  • Experience with batching, blending and fermentation
  • Knowledge of quality management, total quality concepts, statistical analysis and process control required.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and statistical analysis programs
  • Experience with SQF
  • Experience managing analytical and microbiology laboratories

Level: 5

In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe salary range for this role if hired is $107,100.00 - 156,000.00 annually based on location and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for car allowance
