Our Project Engineer assists their Project Manager on projects specialized in the water and wastewater sectors. In this role, the PE is responsible for defining the project's objectives by planning, executing and finalizing projects according to the schedule while keeping within the budget.

DUTIES & SCOPE:



  • Close support of senior project management team.

  • Assisting and coordinating project teams comprising of installation engineers and subcontractors to ensure execution of electrical elements.



  • Working closely under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager to oversee all construction activities related to electrical projects.



  • Ensuring all project deliverables are met with regards to safety, quality, programming, and budget constraints.



  • Assist in the proposal process for new contracts, including estimates and project scope.



  • Coordination of services during construction including attending progress meetings, supervising review of shop drawings, issuing RFI responses and investigating field changes.



  • Direct day-to-day project management activity on design and planning projects as assigned, including scheduling and budget.



  • Develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.



  • Involved in the full project lifecycle from design through to commissioning and handover.



  • Contributing towards continuous improvement initiatives in project management processes and techniques.




QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum 2-3 years of project engineer experience with treatment facility design, pump and lift station design, and municipal engineering.
  • Electrical Project Engineer with water treatment facility electrical construction project experience for important water-related engineering projects.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in appropriate engineering or construction discipline


  • Field experience coordinating with construction management.
  • Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders and contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to closely support the running of a profitable portfolio.
  • Exceptional initiative, execution, and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Exceptional analytical, motivational, and leadership skills.
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician's license a plus.


The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $80,000 and $95,000 The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for bonus and benefits.
