We are searching for a talented Pulmonary Function Tech

Hours: 32 flex 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA; Must be willing to work at multiple sites during the week

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Position reports to the Manager, Pulmonary Diagnostics or designee. This position records patient's lung volumes and flow rates and summarizes the data from such studies in order to assist a physician in the clinical evaluation of lung disease according to Physicians orders. Services include Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) via Nitrogen Washout or Body Box, Methacholine Challenge Testing (MCT), Arterial Blood Gas Testing, drawing and analysis, Oximetry testing both at rest and/or with exertion.

• Graduate of an approved program for Respiratory Care is required; Associate degree is preferred.
• A minimum 2 years of experience in Pulmonary Function testing is required.
• Valid license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Respiratory Care is required.
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) is required; RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist), CPFT/RPFT is preferred.
• Experience using Vmax and MGC equipment is preferred.
• Good communication skills is necessary.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
